Services We Offer
At Dr. Mark Olivito and Associates, we hold ourselves to a high standard of excellence in dental care. We are committed to offering a wide array of services from basic restorative & preventative dentistry to more advanced procedures including but not limited to sedation dentistry, oral surgery, orthodontics and dental implants. Feel at ease having all of your treatment completed in our office with the dental team you already know and trust.
Comprehensive Oral Evaluations
Comprehensive oral evaluations include a thorough gum assessment, oral cancer screening, x-rays, a cavity assessment and more. We will comprehensively evaluate your oral health and wellness and work with you to develop a treatment plan that meets your needs.
General Dental Cleanings
Regular dental cleanings are recommended at various intervals to suit the needs of each individual patient. A typical dental cleaning involves preventive and diagnostic services completed by a Registered Dental Hygienist.
Sedation Dentistry
If you have fear or anxiety associated with dental visits, sedation dentistry can provide a way for you to receive the dental care you need without worry. Sedation dentistry is available for small and large treatment plans. We offer Nitrous Oxide sedation, as well as a greater level of sedation in office for both children and adults.
Oral Surgery including Wisdom Teeth Extractions
Surgical procedures can be performed in our office with or without sedation. Some common surgical procedures available in our office:
Simple and Complicated tooth removal
Tooth removal for orthodontic purposes
Wisdom teeth extractions
Implant placement and bone grafting
Dental Implant Placement & Restoration
If you’re missing teeth, dental implants are a great replacement option to restore the function and esthetics of a missing tooth. A dental implant can replace a single missing tooth or multiple implants can be placed to help to anchor dentures or replace multiple missing teeth.
Dental Crowns & Bridges
When a tooth is significantly broken or damaged, has had previous root canal treatment, or has suffered from a significant amount of decay, a crown is often needed to restore the tooth. Crowns cover the remaining tooth and restore its function, esthetics and strength. A dental crown can be made from a variety of materials. The material used depends on the area of the mouth being restored.
Dental bridges can be fabricated when a patient loses a tooth. A bridge replaces the missing tooth with a floating tooth and is permanently cemented to the neighboring teeth. A bridge helps to maintain the correct positioning of your remaining teeth.
Clear-Aligner Therapy
We offer Clear Aligner therapy in our office. Invisalign® and SureSmile straightening systems consist of a series of custom-made aligning trays which gradually straighten the teeth. These systems are an alternative to traditional braces and can be used to treat both simple and complex cases. The trays are worn throughout the day and night and are removed only when the patient is eating or brushing their teeth. Monthly, interest free payment plans are offered for all clear-aligner therapy treatment plans.
Orthodontics (Braces)
We provide orthodontic treatment, more commonly known as braces, at our office. Feel at ease having your orthodontic treatment completed in our office with the dental team you already know and trust. Monthly, interest free payment plans are offered for all orthodontic treatment.
Developing Smiles Program
Through our complimentary Developing Smiles Program, we provide and guide patients through the orthodontic process from start to finish – including closely monitoring crucial developmental stages. All patients 7 and up are automatically enrolled in the program and are assessed from an orthodontic point-of-view at their regularly scheduled hygiene visits and additional visits as needed.
Veneers
Porcelain veneers can be used to correct discolored, chipped, and misshapen teeth. Veneers are custom made with tooth-coloured materials and look and feel like a natural tooth.
Partial & Complete Dentures
Complete or partial dentures are a way to restore a healthy, natural-looking smile after losing some or all of your teeth. Complete dentures are fabricated for patients missing all of their teeth. Partial dentures can be fabricated for those who are only missing some of their natural teeth. Properly fitted dentures sit snuggly and comfortably within your mouth and can help restore your ability to eat and speak.
Endodontics (Root Canal Therapy)
A root canal is needed when a tooth has had significant trauma or is infected. A root canal allows a tooth to be saved and fixed so that it does not need to be removed. The infected parts of the tooth are removed and the root canal space is disinfected. This will restore the tooth to full function and save the tooth from dying. Most teeth that have had root canal treatment should have a crown to fully protect them from breaking down in the future.
Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a simple, non-invasive way to enhance the brightness of your smile. We start by taking a mold of your teeth to fabricate custom whitening trays. We offer different concentrations of whitening to best suite you need and will walk you through the process.
TMJ Treatment
If you experience pain or difficulty moving your jaw, you may suffer from a temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorder – TMD. The temporomandibular joint holds the upper and lower jaws together. TMJ disorders can lead to a number of other issues for individuals, including ear, tooth, and jaw joint pain. Joint dislocation, teeth grinding, and misaligned bites can contribute to TMJ disorders. There are a number of treatments for this type of disorder, including relaxation techniques, custom-fit oral appliances, physical therapy, or in some cases, surgery.
Sleep Apnea/Snoring Appliances
A custom-made oral appliance can provide you with an effective treatment option for obstructive sleep apnea or snoring. An oral appliance is worn like a retainer or athletic mouthguard. It supports your jaw and helps you maintain an open airway while you sleep. This treatment option can restore your energy and improve your sleep. Our dental healthcare team will work with you to determine if this treatment is the right option for your sleep apnea or snoring.
Digital Radiography
All of the x-rays taken in our office are digital including the dental CBCT, a three-dimensional x-ray, that is used to support treatment planning, proper diagnosis and specific evaluation of certain conditions. There are many advantages to using digital x-rays. Digital radiographs use small sensors instead of traditional film, use 80-90% less radiation, and allow your dentist to view enhanced “x-rays” of your mouth and teeth. These images give us the clearest view of your teeth while reducing the amount of radiation you are exposed to.
Intraoral Cameras
An intraoral camera is a pen-sized camera-tipped wand that your hygienist or dentist uses to examine your mouth and take digital photos that can then be viewed on the computer. This tool allows your dental provider to track and monitor ongoing changes in your oral health.
Complimentary Consultations
We offer complimentary consultations for all types of treatment. Contact us today to reserve your consultation appointment.
